At Suzie Turner Couture, we believe your gown should reflect who you truly are. Every detail is considered with precision, every measurement refined to perfection. Our team takes time to understand your unique features and preferences, ensuring an impeccable fit. With our bespoke service, each piece is designed to enhance your individuality and celebrate your beauty and style.
Step 1 • Initial Consultation
Your journey begins with a private appointment in our London atelier. In this first meeting, we explore your ideas, preferences, colour palette, and vision. Together, we establish the foundation of your personal style and begin shaping the design.
Step 2 • Inspiration & Design
From there, we gather inspiration and develop creative possibilities, preparing embroidery and embellishment samples based on your tastes. As a result, the gown starts to take form - a collaborative process that naturally evolves from conversation into creation.
Step 3 • Illustration
Next, we translate your vision into sketches, fabric stories, and early artwork. Surrounded by textures, colours, and ideas, you gain a first glimpse of how inspiration transforms into design.
Step 4 • Craftsmanship
Every creation comes to life entirely in-house at our London atelier. Using only the finest fabrics from the world’s most esteemed mills, our artisans devote hundreds of hours to each piece. In doing so, they employ time-honoured couture techniques and meticulous hand-finishing to ensure absolute quality.
Step 5 • Fittings & Perfection
Through a series of fittings, we refine the gown directly on your body. Step by step, we adjust every line, curve, and detail so the gown feels effortless, moves gracefully, and achieves both comfort and beauty.
Step 6 • Personalisation
Finally, we add bespoke touches that make the piece uniquely yours. We complete each gown with labels in your chosen colour palette, embroidered with your name. For the most meaningful occasions, we can also hand-embroider dates, names, or family messages upon request.
Step 7 • Presentation
Once complete, we prepare the gown with the utmost care and present it in reinforced trunks and boxes. This ensures it travels safely with you, wherever your journey continues.
Beyond the Atelier,
Even after the wedding day, our commitment remains. For brides who wish, we provide discreet support to guarantee the gown looks and moves flawlessly. Beyond that, our atelier offers lifelong care - from alterations and restyling to preservation for future generations.
This is the unfolding of one of our brides’ couture collections – designed by her, and crafted in our atelier. A wedding wardrobe imagined as a story, told in transformations, details, and meaning.
The Rehearsal
The celebrations began with a ringmaster-inspired tuxedo in ivory Italian silk crepe, lined with sage green silk taffeta. Sparkling peridot and emerald Swarovski® crystals adorned the sleeves and cuffs, with peridot honouring her baby son’s birthstone. Detachable tails extended the tuxedo’s life beyond the wedding day, adding versatility to the design. The family crest appeared proudly on custom buttons, marking its first of many appearances throughout the collection.

The Ceremony
The full ceremony look resembled a wedding cake: ivory, sculptural, and adorned with intricate detail. A corset and lace blouse created the foundation, paired with a silk crepe skirt hidden beneath a sweeping train. The train featured lilac satin lining and trim, enhancing its softness and colour. Pearl and lilac crystal draping added brilliance, while a hand-pleated bow cascaded elegantly into the train. Delicate French lace appliqué was stitched by hand along the edges and bow. The lilac hue honoured an ancestral heirloom cameo, making the design romantic, opulent, and deeply symbolic.

The Post-Ceremony
For the drinks reception, she removed the train extension, leaving a shorter, more fluid shape. The lilac bow, lace, and crystal drapery remained in place, preserving the decorative detail. Without the heavier train, the silhouette appeared lighter and more practical. This refinement allowed her to move with ease while still radiating bridal elegance..

The Reception & First Dance
As the evening unfolded, she removed the train, revealing the pure ivory silk skirt beneath. Pearls traced a line down the back, echoing those appliquéd onto her Chantilly lace blouse. The corset and blouse remained central, anchoring the ensemble with structure. Together, the elements created a refined, sculptural silhouette, perfectly suited for the first dance.

The After-Party
For the after-party, her corset took on new life with a bold transformation. She paired it with a voluminous ivory tulle skirt, creating drama and movement. A cascading pearl collar completed the ensemble, adding radiance and texture. The look shifted from formal to playful, reimagining couture for celebration.

The After-After Gathering
Later that night, the look softened once more with subtle changes. The corset stayed constant, anchoring the ensemble with structure. She accented the tulle skirt with a dramatic Chantilly lace bow, heightening the sense of romance. This final detail brought a poetic close to the day’s transformations.

The Morning After
Her journey ended with one final look for the post-wedding brunch. The corset returned, styled anew with fresh intent. She paired it with her custom tartan wrap skirt in flowing silk chiffon. The pearl collar from the evening before reappeared, adding brilliance and continuity. Together, the elements united heritage with modernity, carrying her seamlessly into the morning after.

The Tartan
The bride designed the tartan in close collaboration with our atelier, shaping it as a personal emblem. She selected every Pantone shade and line density, weaving her husband’s Scottish heritage into the fabric. The Edinburgh wedding setting further inspired the design, deepening its cultural resonance. Luxurious in wool and silk, the tartan embodied both richness and tradition. It also appeared printed onto silk chiffon, ensuring it flowed gracefully through every layer of the celebration.

The Bridal Party Accessories
The tartan became a unifying thread across the bridal party, symbolising continuity and shared heritage. Twelve bridesmaids wore navy dresses of their own choosing, styled individually yet tied together by detail. Each bridesmaid accented her look with ruched sashes, bows, or headbands crafted from tartan silk. The groomsmen echoed the theme with matching bow ties and pocket squares. Each accessory was lined with silk taffeta in a unique shade, denoting their personal relation to the couple.

For The Baby
Her son wore a miniature suit tailored from the tartan wool, mirroring the elegance of the bridal party. The ensemble included a waistcoat, ochre cummerbund, bow tie, and golden crest buttons. This playful yet deeply personal look placed him firmly at the heart of the celebration.

The Crest
The bride created the crest in collaboration with our atelier, shaping it into a powerful personal symbol. It appeared on custom buttons, hand-painted cuff links, and embroidered motifs hidden discreetly within linings. Later, artisans wove the crest into wool blankets gifted to guests, carrying the wedding’s memory into their homes.

This wardrobe was more than a series of outfits; it was a living collection of heritage and imagination. Designed by her and crafted by us.
